Come to Bloomingdale’s at South Coast Plaza 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday evening (11/8) to check out an event for Polo Ralph Lauren. The American design house is flying eight of its house models (yeah, those hot male models from the ad campaign, hello!) to OC for the fashion presentation. There will also be cocktails and hors d’oeuvres. Shoppers will receive 20% off Polo purchases at the event and 10% from Polo sales that evening will benefit Men Alive, the OC Gay Men’s Chorus.
- Also coming up soon for Bloomie’s at SCP (and Fashion Island/Newport Beach) is their awesome charity denim event Nov.16-18. Bring in a pair of gently worn, recently laundered jeans and receive a 15% off savings pass toward your next regular-priced denim purchase in Y.E.S. Contemporary Sportswear (some designer brands excluded). Your gently worn jeans will be donated to Human Options, a group that helps battered women.
- Head to American Rag Cie at Fashion Island from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Thursday (11/8) to check out the launch of Hurley’s latest venture. The surfwear brand is launching “The Joey Ramone” line — a collection of premium clothing and eyewear influenced by the art of the legendary punk rock band. Look for 16 styles for men and women, with graphic-rich interpretations of Hurley’s signature boardshorts, classic hoodies, graphic tees and eyewear. French fries and champagne courtesy of Café Beau Soleil. Live performance by a Ramones cover band, the Hamones.
- Goat boutique in Costa Mesa is celebrating its one-year anniversary with a party from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Nov.29. Owner Christina Smith, with Matthew Thomas, will also be debuting the addition of menswear to the boutique. Look for new arrivals for men from Acne Jeans, Ever, Apolis Activism, Josh Podel, Literature Noir, Morphine Generation and Fremont. Goat is located at 186 E. 18th St.
